My Canterbury Tale
By: Michael Eyers
Hi Gang,
What can I say - 18 films in 8 days, phew! I need another holiday. I had an excellent week and it was so good to meet up with so many PnP lovers. Great to hook up with Steve again and to meet Barbara from Chicago.
The films were excellent to see on the big screen especially AMOLAD, Blimp, BN & TRS. The quota quickies were a revelation. Seeing Jack Cardiff interviewed and Sheila Simm's talk were also highlights. The trip with Steve out to some ACT locations, Ramsgate and Hoath Farm was another great day out (Steve - Contraband opening is definitely Ramsgate).
I can highly recommend the exhibition A Canterbury Tale - Michael Powell And The Neo-Romantic Landscape on at the Sidney Cooper Gallery as well.
Paul Tritton's location walk was also a great success as was the conference at the Christ College - Thanks to Nick Burton and colleagues.
All in all a fantastic week.
Now I need some sleep...
Cheers,
Michael
