Meet at Canterbury West Railway Station (Station Road West, St Dunstan.s) at 11.20 am *.
Your guides will be Steve Crook and Paul Tritton.
Follow the route taken by Alison, Peter, Bob and Thomas Colpeper and The Regimental Band of The Buffs from the Westgate to Canterbury Cathedral
Find Canterbury's wartime Police Station; the theatre where the world premiere of A Canterbury Tale was held; Michael Powell's temple of knowledge; the Cathedral Tea Rooms; and the site of the Rose Lane Garage
Walk in Alison's footsteps along the streets that were destroyed in the Baedeker Raid on Canterbury, 60 years ago this summer
Visit Canterbury Cathedral and appreciate how realistically Michael Powell's designers recreated the southwest transept, the nave and the pilgrims' steps at Denham Studio.
* If travelling to Canterbury West by train, catch the 10.53 from Ashford International, or join it at Chilham [Chillingbourne] at 11.10. The train arrives at Canterbury at 11.19. Please check with Connex before you plan your journey, to ensure that this train will run as advertised on August 25.
