Eric Portman
His Last Assignment

Hello Steve!
I thought you might like to know that Eric Portman narrated the commentary for my documentary film "The Bronte Sisters" which I made in 1969. I was a young teacher making occasional 16mm educational films and this was my fourth title. Both James Mason and Eric Portman were considering being involved in the project but it was Eric who agreed and came up to London from Cornwall to record the commentary.
Sadly, he died just three days later.

Best wishes,
Terry Ladlow
