VHS: $39.95
1 tape, catalog #ELU01
Director: Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger
The expliots of the original Scarlet Pimpernel dazzled viewers with the best adventure stories of their time. This version, based on the famous Baroness Orczy character, features Sir Percy Blakeney (David Niven), masquerading as the "indolent dandy of London" and leading a double life as Pimpernel. It is our dashing hero Pimpernel who rescues innocent French aristocrats from the guillotine of the French Revolution. A script wrought with intrigue and mystery, beautifully accentuated by a fine cast of actors.
