TV Guide review
The Elusive Pimpernel (1950)
aka The Fighting PimpernelLackluster telling of the story of the English aristocrat who assumes a number of disguises to rescue nobles from the French Revolution's guillotine. Niven tries hard in the title role but is overwhelmed by the leisurely pacing and Technicolor effects. (Remake of The Scarlet Pimpernel.)
