The Masters
The Powell & Pressburger Pages

Dedicated to the work of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger and all the other people, both actors and technicians who helped them make those wonderful films.

A lot of the documents have been sent to me or have come from other web sites. The name of the web site is given where known. If I have unintentionally included an image or document that is copyrighted or that I shouldn't have done then please email me and I'll remove it.

I make no money from this site, it's purely for the love of the films.

[Any comments are by me (Steve Crook) and other members of the email list]

The 2003 Golden Arrow Awards

After the 2003 Oscars it was suggested that we run our own awards for the films of
Michael Powell and/or Emeric Pressburger.

The Nominations Are Now Closed

Move on to the voting page

The nominations & the final ballot will be managed by that fine upstanding
gentleman from Memphis, Mr. Malcolm Pratt.

Dateline: Thu, April 17, 2003
Malcolm writes:
Okay, all you Golden Arrow trippers, here at last are the official instructions and ballot for your nominations for the 2003 Golden Arrow Awards!

Our thanks to PnP'er Don Henson for providing the superb name used for these awards.

Nominate up to 5 films or individuals in each of the categories. If you can't arrive at 5, please nominate as many as possible, up to 5.

Remember that when you are nominating achievements in certain categories, you will need to identify the specific person or film moment and the film title on your nomination ballot. For example, Best Actor - David Niven, A Matter of Life and Death.

The top 5 nominees in each category will be placed on the final Golden Arrow Awards ballot, which will be emailed separately at a later date, after all the nomination ballots have been received and tallied. The Golden Arrow will then be awarded to the top vote-getter in each category from the final Golden Arrow ballots.

The order of your nominations doesn't matter. All votes count equally to nominate a person, film or category for the final vote.

NOMINATION BALLOTS MUST BE RECEIVED BY MAY 1, 2003!

Please vote only once, but feel free to forward this email to anyone you think may like to participate. In order to make this process as interesting and representative as possible, we strongly encourage your participation.

If you have any questions or comments, please send them directly to me at malcolmm@bellsouth.net.

First, please let us know your name

and email address

If you don't put your name and/or email address in the box then we won't know who you are. These won't be published but we'd like to get an idea of who is voting for what.
Please note that only one vote will be accepted from any one person.

And please tell us something about yourself, such as:

Your age:
Your gender:
Where are you?
