ToB Jewel #24 - Goddess
Sales blurb

My wife and I inherited some fabulous estate costume jewelry. Actually to say some jewelry is an understatement, as it fills a large steamer trunk and spans at least 4 generations.

The pieces are quite incredible as many of the ladies who wore it were actresses or showgirls and loved glitz and glamor. We will be presenting some truly wonderful pieces spanning the generations from Victorian through Art Deco, the 50's and 60's and hope you enjoy our offerings.

As the story goes, my great aunt was a cast member in the movie Thief of Bagdad and received this pin as a memento. It is an exotic looking goddess pin and measures 2 inches long and 1.50 wide. Silver colored metal, signed and in great condition.

I emailed them:

Hello,
Do you happen to know the great aunt's name?
We're trying to collect the names of all of those who took part in it, even in minor roles.

A lot of the extras were Indians or other Asians recruited in the area of the London docks. Would she have been living there at the time?

Her real name was Mabel Gronski is all we know. She played minor bit parts all over the world from what we have heard and used many names so it would be rather difficult to figure out which one.
sorry
